Free download · For kids & their grown-ups

Games, missions and puzzles for curious hearts. A printable booklet that helps children befriend their feelings.
Print it at home, grab some crayons. No email needed.
?Feelings are messengers. They visit to tell you something you need. And then, like all visitors, they leave again. Detectives don't chase feelings away. Detectives get curious.
That is the whole spirit of this booklet. Your child gets a detective name, a feelings compass, and a series of missions: drawing the weather inside them, spying on feelings in other people, puzzling out what a feeling might be asking for. Everything is black and white on purpose: it's theirs to colour.
There are little notes to grown-ups along the way too. You don't need to fix your child's feelings; being curious together is plenty.
There is something for every age, from 3 to 12.
For the grown-ups
While the kids are on their missions, this one is for you: a gentle seven-step practice for meeting yourself honestly, when something is still stirring. Also free, also printable.

We send one letter every week or two: a practice, a question, something we are working through ourselves. You can leave whenever you like.

Before you go
In NVC, gratitude has a shape: you name the need that was met. If this page gave you something, tap the word that comes closest. One tap is plenty.
Thank you. Hearing which needs were met feeds our own need for meaning.
The booklet is a doorway. The language of feelings and needs behind it is one the whole family can learn.
