Every hot topic is a chance
Whenever a big question lands on the table without consensus, we seem to slide the same way. More arguing, more taking sides, less understanding of each other. Right now that question is AI. Many of us still remember how the last big one felt, and what it did to families, teams and communities. We would rather prepare this time.
You have probably heard, or said, something like:
- Data centers just made my village life-less.
- This could be the thing that ends us. Not in a film, for real.
- AI is going to make our world a better place.
- It wrote my daughter’s school essay and she learned nothing.
- My doctor caught something early because a machine flagged it.
- Twenty years of craft, and a prompt does it in nine seconds.
- For the first time I can work at all. It reads for me.
- Whoever owns these models will own the rest of us.
- Every tool scared people once. We adapted. We will again.
Every one of these comes from something real: a home, a job, a child, a body, a fear, a hope.
So this panel is not about who is right. It is a public demonstration of another way of meeting: people who genuinely disagree about AI, in one room, held by one of the most experienced NVC mediators working today. The question we bring is bigger and shared. How do we, as humanity, hear each other beyond our opinions and keep walking next to each other, so that this technology serves all our human needs, safely, for all of us?
