Amina Mambuay

Growing up in Mindanao, Philippines, where there are historical prejudices between Muslims and Christians, I am inspired to be actively involved in peace advocacy, and I give workshops and trainings on peace and resources. I am also a speaker on interfaith dialogue and cultural sensitivity. My intention is to promote a better understanding and relations among people of different cultures and religions. In 2007, I was invited to join a training on NVC in Germany and I was amazed to learn about it and from then on, I started sharing about it to different groups in the Philippines. I became a NVC certified trainer in 2016, the first and the only one so far, in the Philippines. NVC has become part of my life and I will continue to share it. It is not only a tool for peace building, it is a way of life.
